Aaah, she’s really cool!  But uh I tend to idolized bird keepers and flying-type users who have made it to high-ranking positions such a Gym Leader.

Falkner being the exception since we’ve known each other for a while and have more of a rivalry relationship haha.

  • Wanted to make a little ask prompt themed around the Pokemon Center promotion of the same name since it has a nice variety of goods. Enjoy!

  • Thunder Stone: Have you had a pokemon that you didn't want to evolve?
  • Fire Stone: What aspect of the pokemon world do you like the most?
  • Water Stone: What aspect of the pokemon world do you dislike the most?
  • Amulet Coin: Are there any particular in-game items that you tend to collect?

ok xie requested me of the ‘first’ round of BFOI which i never finish (this is pyua since the last time I did it). ashamed of hidoi art and sits and becomes danbo

I understand it’s old art to you that you are dissatisfied with, but wiw it still blows me away.
The composition flows very nicely, it’s always easy to tell where the parts separate due to the different color schemes and moods of the compositions within the whole (and the artistic borders).  I’d have to say my favorite part has always been the Mahalo Santuary part with the single Shaymin below because the perspective is so dynamic and the color pallet so peaceful.
Don’t mind me I just like gushing a gorgeous art.  Also whydidtheyhavetocancelr1hnnnnnn.))

I imagine they have ferocious and protective mothers, as it’s pretty common among avian pokemon.  And being clad in steel armor certainly ups the threat.

I do in fact have experience with baby Skarmories.  I hatched Artemis from and egg that I found abandoned, so I didn’t have to bother any armored bird mothers.  I wasn’t even sure it was an egg at first as its surface appeared to be polished metal.

Skarmory babies are quite hot to the touch upon hatching.  Their armor is comparatively soft and fresh, like a new minted coin, and it is also less sharp and more rounded.  Experience in battles toughens up their armor and sharpens it.  Weak metallic feathers are shed for new, stronger ones.

There’s a lot of uses for these shed feathers, while I often use them for weapons or armor, other bird keepers have found interesting alternative uses as well.

Ah, I think I rambled a bit, but Skarmories are a fun topic for me.

Anonymous asked:

Have you ever seen a skarmory chick? It's pokedex entrie say it nests in bristles which make its feathers hard so are they born soft puffs of feathers?

What a coincidence you should ask!

I actually have the answer queued up as someone has asked about this prior.  So expect to see the post later today/tonight~

Hmmmm, well they’ve never struck me as avian and I haven’t trained one myself, buuuut now that you mention it I can see the resemblance.

Perhaps I should do a little more research and maybe raise one myself~

Oh gosh this is the perfect combination of cute and creepy.  Perfectly fitting of a Natu hehe

Ah, that is a rather frustrating obstacle for two lovebirds.

Perhaps they can get together around sun set and sunrise when their bodyclock schedules overlap?  I’ve never encountered this issue myself, so I don’t have a sure fire answer.

Forgive my cliché, but as they say, love conquers all.  I’m sure your birdies will find a way.

In Need of Some Bird Expertise?

Just queued up some long-overdue answers to some really nice bird pokemon/flying type questions I’ve had lying in my inbox for a while.  And there will still be more on the way.

I’d certainly love to receive more questions in my field of study and experience.  If there’s anything about any bird pokemon you’ve been curious about, I’d love to try my best to answer it~
